Smooth and packed with protein, this Vanilla Peanut Butter Silk Soy Milk Smoothie is a great way to start your day. Made with Silk® Soy Milk is thick and tasty so you can pack a punch and have a great week!
One of the the things that Howard and I do to feel better and to continue on our weight loss journey is to get in lots of protein. There’s something to be said about good carbs, fruits and vegetables, but there’s nothing quite like starting your day with protein or getting in a protein snack after a workout. We get tired of the same ‘ole protein snacks from time to time and most of the protein bars that you can buy upset my stomach. I think there’s a real milk protein in them that upsets my lactose intolerance. We’ve decided to start making our own protein snacks and that’s where this smoothie comes in.
What you’ll need:
2 cups Vanilla Silk Soy Milk
2 tbsp creamy peanut butter
2 cups crushed ice
What you’ll do:
Put it all in the blender and blend to desired consistency. If you think far enough ahead of time, you can freeze some of the soy milk and leave the ice out, but we like the ice as well. Enjoy!
You know we like to keep it simple around here and because we usually sleep until the last available minute, we don’t have time to make some extravagant smoothie. However, if you do have time, feel free to add in some mint for a fresh minty flavor or add in a few drops of chocolate syrup for a chocolate peanut butter smoothie!
I only use Silk Soy Milk because that is what I know and it is delicious. I was introduced to Silk when I was in college. My roommate knew that I couldn’t drink milk and even though she could, she would still buy Silk for our apartment because she liked how thick and creamy it tastes. After my first small glass of Silk Chocolate Soy Milk, I was hooked!
No other dairy-free milk brand gives you more protein! With 8 grams of heart-healthy, plant-powered protein and a smooth delicious taste, Silk Original Soy Milk gives you plenty to love. And because Silk is plant-based, it’s naturally low in saturated fat and has no cholesterol!
Considering Howard’s heart issues and my high cholesterol and blood pressure, we have to watch what we eat and do. We start our day with a protein-packed smoothie and stay active to keep our health in check.
What would you put in your Silk Soy Milk smoothie?
