So, I mentioned last week that my family is getting ready for the Big Game. I made something savory to prepare for the big spread, but today I’m going to share with you something sweet to share at your Big Game party. Today, I’m sharing OREO Cookie Balls made in this year’s team colors and a few football shaped ones as well!
You might remember that I talked about my dad’s Big Game party and the Big Spread (as I’ve decided to name it). My dad picks up all the fixings for sub sandwiches and then everyone else brings sides and desserts and anything else they think we need to eat while watching football. This year, I’m planning to “win” with my other dish and these OREO Cookie Balls.
As I mentioned at the beginning, the recipe for OREO Cookie Balls comes directly from OREO and I just decorated them to match the playing teams and some footballs.
OREO Cookie Balls
What you’ll need:
1 pkg. (8 oz.) brick cream cheese, softened
36 OREO Cookies, finely crushed (about 3 cups)
4 pkg. (4 oz. each) semi-sweet baking chocolate, melted
What you’ll do:
MIX cream cheese and cookie crumbs until blended.
SHAPE into 48 (1-inch) balls. Freeze 10 min. Dip balls in melted chocolate; place in single layer in shallow waxed paper-lined pan.
CUSTOMIZE it with your own ingredient additions or decorative skills.
REFRIGERATE 1 hour or until firm.
Share with your friends and family and Enjoy!
For my OREO Cookie Balls, I chose to use Winter (Red) creme OREOs and coat them in red and blue, as well as a few brown footballs. I also chose to use Mint OREOs and coat them in blue and green, along with a few (non-deflated) football OREO Cookie Balls.
I think these are going to over fantastically at my dad’s Big Game party this Sunday!

I know for sure I would never make these–not because they are not delicious. It is because every time I buy Oreo cookies (and I love the mint ones) they are gone–poof–disappear into the cookie monster herself!
