20+ Quick Family Meal Ideas
I’ve put together this collection of 20+ Quick Family Meal Ideas as part of a sponsored post for Foodie. As you know, all opinions are my own and I wouldn’t recommend something that I don’t want to try for myself. P.S. Some of my own meal ideas are in here as well!
You all know I’m not much of a cook in the kitchen so when I do cook, I need something quick, easy, delicious, and healthy. I’ve been telling Howard lately that we need to start meal planning and I want to take a night or two to make dinner.
You might remember when I made these fish taco lettuce wraps and they were a hit with Benjamin, but Howard is not a fan of tuna so we usually substitute in some taco meat or ground turkey. By just replacing the taco shell with the lettuce wrap, we now have a meal that is healthier and lighter…and it’s just about the only way that I can get Benjamin to eat lettuce.
I asked on Facebook for a few recipe ideas and my sister told me about this slow cooker recipe: Take 4-6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, a package of taco seasoning and a jar of your favorite salsa. Put in the crockpot on low for 6-8 hours, then serve with beans, rice and tortillas. I’ve had this at her house before and it is delicious!
Another friend of mine posted this recipe: Take a pack of boneless country style pork ribs, salt and pepper, a jar of kimchi. Toss together and put in the crock on low. Serve with a side of fresh stir-fry veggies. He recommended asparagus or green beans with slice portabella, yellow/orange pepper, purple onion, then maybe toss in and wilt some baby spinach. Sounds amazing!
But I just had to put together a Foodie board of the other ideas that were sent my way and a few more that I found while looking around on Foodie. Check out my Foodie board and let me know what you think!
