How to Get Free Stuff and So Much More! @Freebies4Mom
Everyone wants free stuff from time to time, right? I mean, I got the Extreme Couponing bug a couple of years ago and I went full force into ordering all the free stuff I could possibly get. My family is still living off some of the samples, prizes, review items, and coupon hoarding haul that I pulled in. But, for a newbie, how do you get started? You could start a blog and do all the hard work that we do on a daily basis. You could market yourself and write all day long, but why do all the leg work when there are bloggers out there doing it for you?
Take, for instance, a new friend of mine – Heather from Freebies 4 Mom!
This post is a virtual gift exchange as part of a #CollectiveBias family tradition. Instead of sending gifts to all our friends across the world, we introduce our readers to new blogs. We get to show our love for our fellow bloggers. You get the benefit of learning about all the great bloggers out there. Nobody has to spend any money. See…more free stuff!
Let me just start with the most exciting thing I learned when I met Heather (online): She’s from Houston, TX, so close to me that meeting her (in person) is actually a possibility! I meet bloggers online everyday and talk to them all day on Facebook and through Social Fabric (the forum for Collective Bias). Some of my closest friends are online in my computer screen and smart phone. But meeting them in person is a rarity. When I meet someone in my home state, I get excited and I feel even more connected!
Heather has become somewhat of an idol for me because she was an engineer and left her job to become a full time stay at home mom. OMG, you guys, she was an engineer! That’s mind blowing to me as I sit in my cubicle doing child safety work and reading all day. She gave up a huge career for her kids and that is amazing.
Let me just tell you that I have had dreams of leaving my job and being a full time blogger, but being a full time stay at home and blogger, I know I could never do. I have to give such huge props to Heather for the work that she does!
My favorite things about Heather (and her blog, of course):
Free Stuff – Heather is a master at getting free stuff and has a passion for sharing her knowledge with us all. She will teach you about couponing and ordering free samples. You should really sign up for the Freebies 4 Mom newsletter and she will alert you when there is free stuff to be had!
Food – She has an amazing food category on her blog where she will share recipes like this amazing Pomegranate Rosemary Butter Cake. She has a gift for design and making her food fun and look amazing. You really need to check out all the recipes on her blog!
Crafts – Oh yeah, she’s one of “those” moms. She has a knack for the crafty and you will love her crafts section. I am in awe of this DIY Christmas Centerpiece – simply beautiful!
Kid stuff – She even has a section just for kid’s stuff like this Monsters University Fruit Cookie. You just have to click on that link and see the full post with her ahhhh-dorable boys, too!
But, really, Heather is a sweet, sweet person and a great blogger. I (sorta) wish she would start another blog and teach me how to be one of “those” moms, but I also know that running one blog is work enough for one person…and she’s a SAHM, too…simply amazing!
So, check out Heather’s blog at http://freebies4mom.com and find her on social media, too!
Janet – You blew me away with your post. Thank you so much for your kindness and for sharing Freebies 4 Mom with your readers. I fully expected to return to civil engineering after spending a few years at home with my babies – but I accidentally created a new job for myself with my blog. Now I can say I’ve found my “dream job” – although it’s challenging to work for yourself and I’ve had my ups & downs – I want to go to “work” every day and I love helping others thru my blog. I’m still keeping my P.E. license current (just in case) – but I’m hopeful I can keep this new job I’ve created for a long time! Wishing you the best in your blogging journey – I’m simply amazed you have time to blog between your work and family! I’m here to support you every step of the way – I’m just an email away!

I love how we all have our own talents and challenges, yet we can respect each other for the hard work we do. I was happy to introduce you and your blog to my readers!
