340.6 – Good Week Despite Challenges in Weight Loss (Fatty Friday)
Well, this week was surprising for many reasons. I had my fair share of challenges in weight loss goals, but it turned out okay after all.
Have you ever had one of those weeks where the challenges in weight loss seem to be around every corner and in every cabinet door you open? I think having Howard working in the evening, along with two days of work trips, really wore on me this week. I let myself cheat a little and I didn’t have my routine and regular meals. I gave into the chocolate/sweets cravings, only to find out that I have my period today (always a tell-tell sign). I also didn’t get to weigh in on Thursday (hence Fatty Friday on Sunday). But…
I lost 4.4 lbs this week!
The good thing about weighing in on Saturday was that Howard got to weigh in with me and after several missed weeks, he still lost 0.6 lbs! I’ve been proud of how he has tried to stick to our eating plan even though he hasn’t been to the weekly weigh in, getting the shot, or having the appetite suppressants. We were both happy to see his loss and I was glad that my metabolism didn’t give in to the cheats.
Good for you and your husband! Congrats on another great week! Thank you for sharing your challenges and successes. It’s very motivating and inspiring. Question: What shot?

HC, thank you so much for your continued support. At the center we attend, we get a weekly B12 shot that helps with increased energy and pulls the excess water out of our systems. I didn’t get to weigh in last night because of Halloween, but we are going to try for Saturday morning so hopefully I will have an update by Sunday or Monday. Thank you!
4.4lbs is excellent Janet! In my eating plan I schedule in a small bar of cadburys dairy milk every day and it’s allowed!
My weigh in is tonight so I don’t know how I’ll do this week. I don’t think I’ve eaten enough personally due to my crazy shifts this week. I’m working from 10pm tonight and who wants to eat their meal at 3am? Not me, So I tend to skip a meal which isn’t’ really good for you.
You just keep up what you’re doing. You’re heading in the right direction and that’s what counts.

A little cheating here and there is actually healthy for any “diet” plan in my opinion. If you know you can have one day of cheating, then it’s easier to stock to it the other 6 days. Keep up the good work my friend!
