348 – Weekly Weight Loss Hiccups (Fatty Friday)
This week was different for me. I had a couple of weight loss hiccups, but I’m still here with my weekly update. Welcome to Fatty Friday! <– I need a new name for this weekly post. Any thoughts?
Howard and I started the week with a couple of hiccups. We made some delicious Luau Kabobs on Saturday and the chicken we used was breaded. That’s a no-no on our plan, but I think we ate in moderation so we were okay.
We also celebrated this week as the week we can start eating fruit twice per week. (See Luau Kabobs ) During this time in the eating plan, food is starting to taste so delicious. After eating junk and processed food for so long, our taste buds were checked out. Now that we are eating better – and feeling better – food is tasting amazing and fruit is the best dessert or addition to our meals.
Are you ready for this?!
I lost 4.0 lbs this week!
Even better, Howard lost 11 lbs this week!
We are in love with this plan and we are feeling GREAT!
One of the big changes (besides getting our taste buds back) that I have noticed is that I don’t get “winded” when walking places and I can walk down my (super steep) front steps without taking a double step. Have you ever experienced that? When we were eating junk, I would have to take one step at a time with both feet because I felt like I was going to fall down. Now, my balance is better (odd, I know) and I can walk down them like normal people. Okay, okay…what is normal…I know…
My clothes are starting to get looser and I feel more awake now, too. I have a regular bedtime and I awake refreshed. I still get tired from time to time, but most of the time it is at appropriate times and not just all the time.
So…I lost 4 lbs. My total is 21 lbs lost. I’m under 350 lbs now. I feel fantastic!
Congrats! I can’t think of a new name, but I like the suggestion above of Forward to Fit Friday.
