Family Fun Crafts: Crayola Color Wonder and Sidewalk Chalk
This Summer has been hectic for my little family of three. It’s been hot, hot, hot and no rain for most of the summer. We were in t-ball and now (hopefully) gearing up for soccer. We are getting ready for Kindergarten. Hubby lost his job and then we had to move because our landlord decided to sell our rental house. Sometimes we just need to sit back, relax, and have a little fun and crafting together. Crayola sent us just what we needed to have a little fun together!
P.S. There’s a giveaway at the end of this post!
When you think of crafts and coloring, what else is there to think about besides Crayola?! It’s a staple in the coloring world (okay, there should totally be a coloring world, but I made that up) and I love that Crayola keeps making new products to stay fresh and new in new generations. My boy is becoming the coloring-loving child that I was and I’m loving it!
Washable Sidewalk Chalk:
Living in a rental house, we have to be careful what we use for crafting. We just recently moved out of a rental house and cleaning it after moving all the furniture out is no fun. Cleaning the sidewalk would have been even worse in this heat if we didn’t have a chalk that was easily removed.
It’s the first sidewalk chalk featuring 48 classic Crayola crayon colors! And that’s not all – the chalk is also bolder and more vibrant than ever. With so many colors to choose from, kids can let their imaginations run wild to create beautiful masterpieces that may include “carnation pink” flowers, “sepia” colored tree trunks, “granny smith apple” turtles or “scarlet” colored lady bugs. A new anti-roll shape prevents chalk from rolling away and the wide sides allow kids to draw thick lines. Parents will appreciate that the chalk is washable from sidewalks and driveways – simply spray away with water!
Color Wonder Mini Stow and Go:
With only one vehicle and lots of places to go, we tend to spend a lot of time in the car. There are days when I cannot make myself go into the grocery store, but I have a chef husband who loves to look around. On these days, the boy and I stay in the car while Hubby peruses the shelves and takes his time. Having lots to do in the car is a must for my boy so this Stow and Go is perfect for him. He can color (with markers!) on the Color Wonder paper and I don’t have to worry about him making a huge mess all over my light-colored Jeep seats.
- Mess-free fun hits the road with Crayola Wonder Mini Stow and Go!
- The Color Wonder Mini Stow & Go gives you a portable writing surface and storage for your creations and markers.
- Markers color only on special paper and not on skin, furniture or carpets!
- Each pack includes a 15-page mini Color Wonder Coloring Pad and 3 Color Wonder Markers
Color Wonder Mess-Free Glitter Paper and Markers:
Okay, so my boy wasn’t overly thrilled with a princess coloring book, but since he loves to color (with markers!) so much he decided it would be okay to color on this for one day and then maybe he would give it to one of his MANY girlfriends. Secretly, I think he just likes the idea of coloring with markers because he tried SEVERAL times to get the markers to color on the bed, his arm, other paper products. I foiled him, though, because this Color Wonder system is amazing! It really and truly does not let the color get on anything else besides the Color Wonder paper. Love it!
Crayola’s new Color Wonder Glitter Paper is full of glittery fun but without the mess, since the glitter effects are in the paper. Kids can create dazzling, sparkly masterpieces with their favorite Disney Princesses and Fairies. With Crayola’s Color Wonder system, parents can rest easy since the mess-free Color Wonder markers will only appear on the special Color Wonder paper – not on skin, clothing, walls or furniture. Kids can color and watch in awe as hidden images magically appear on the glittery paper.
