The Perfect PB&J with Master Chef Daddy & Special Guest Chef Goober
National PB&J Day is April 2nd
National PB&J Day is coming on April 2nd and my boys are ready to celebrate. As part of our preparation for this super fun day next week, we decided to launch our new cooking show – Master Chef Daddy with special guest, Chef Goober, present to you the pilot episode of Cooking at Home with Howard, Episode One – PB&J Sandwiches!
When I was in college and lived alone, I was not much of a grocery shopper. I didn’t like to cook so I would buy easy meals and ate lots of sandwiches. There is just nothing better than a PB&J on fresh white bread to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Now that my boy is getting older and has started asking about bringing his lunch to daycare in a lunch box, he is in love with the idea of packing a PB&J and some chips, along with some sliced fruit and a drink. I’m pretty sure it has just as much to do with the lunch box as it does the sandwich, but he does love a good PB&J.
Welch’s Natural Strawberry and Concord Grape Spread
Whether you’re a crunchy or creamy peanut butter family, the real essence of a good PB&J is in the jelly, or fruit spread, and Welch’s is a well-known brand that you can trust. Welch’s sent us a jar of the strawberry and grape (pictured above) and we enjoyed it on our sandwiches. I’m the strawberry lover in our family and Hubby likes grape, and only grape. Our boy would eat either, I believe, but we usually just give him grape for now. I love that Welch’s spread comes in the plastic jars so no breaks and Hubby even noticed that the Natural spreads have a sweeter taste as well.
♦ Welch’s Strawberry Spreads are made with sweet, vine ripened strawberries ♦ Welch’s Concord Grape Jelly and Natural Grape Spread are made with Welch’s very own Concord grapes grown in the US and Canada ♦ Welch’s Natural Spreads contain no high fructose corn syrup, no artificial flavors or colors, and no preservatives ♦
And now…for the long awaited debut of…

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Welch’s. I received product samples to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item as a thank-you for participating.
