Shamrocks and Shenanigans {St Patrick’s Day Linky}
Last night after making Valentines for the boy’s class, he laid down and started whining that he doesn’t have a shamrock shirt for St Patrick’s Day. Really? Have you ever noticed how when one holiday gets close that stores start putting out the toys, decorations and goodies for the next holiday? I was in Family Dollar two days ago and saw Easter candy!

St Patrick’s Day is one of my least favorite holidays because everyone looks like whores and spends way too much money on booze. I swear it is worse than Halloween. I must be an old fart or something.

I homeschool my 3 children – ages 7, 13 & 14. I have been working on multiplication with my youngest the last few days (she has LD and is behind so we just started 2nd grade around Christmas) after she started shouting out the answers (and they were correct) whenever I would ask my middle daughter a problem. last night she says, “You know that worksheet your printed for me yesterday with all those multiplication problems? Well, will you print it again? Cause I wanna do them again.” These are the moments that make me happy that I homeschool!

I love it when kids get excited about learning! I don’t know if I would ever have the confidence in myself enough to homeschool. Parents like you are my heroes for taking on that challenge every day!
We are our children’s very first teachers, and as homeschoolers we just continue to teach instead of others doing it for us. If it is something you ever seriously would consider, or just have questions feel free to contact me. I’d be happy to help you out or answer your questions. Check out my blog for all the fun, crazy, hectic things we do!
