5 Intimate Date Night Ideas #ad
The holidays are over and we’re jumping right past January to start planning for February, so I’m here to give you a few ideas for a Valentine’s Day Date Night, as part of a sponsored post for #CollectiveBias and their client. All opinions, ideas, stories, and photos are my own.
Valentine’s Day Date Night Ideas
Howard and I have a rocky past when it comes to Valentine’s Day date night. Our very first Valentine’s Day included a 5 day old baby and my mother-in-law. He cooked steaks and bought some rose petals to put on the table, but then promptly left me sitting at the table with his mother while he stepped outside to avoid talking to her. It was not a romantic date night by any stretch of the imagination. Luckily, we have had a couple of years where we were able to celebrate and he always finds a way to buy me a little something, sometimes a little more than I would like, but it is rare that we get a full date night on Valentine’s Day. This year I’m making sure we get a Valentine’s Day date night to ourselves (whether it’s on 2/14 or not is to be determined) and I have a few ideas up my sleeve to make it romantic, fun, relaxing, and HOT!
1. Plan a Date Night In
Rent your honey’s favorite movie, the first movie you watched together, or a romantic comedy and then cuddle up on the couch with some warm buttered popcorn for a special date night in. Cook him one of his favorite dinners or order an extravagant take-out. Set up candles on the table and use your best dishes (buy new ones if you can!). Turn your bedroom into a hotel or unfold the couch bed and dress it up like a hotel room. Turn down the sheets and even offer a mint on his pillow.
2. Relax at the Spa, Together
Plan a day trip to the spa and get pampered side-by-side. Order a facial and a massage for him and a mud bath and massage for her. Treat him to a special cut and massage at his favorite sports-related salon and treat her to a shampoo, cut, and style from a high-end salon.
3. Role-play at home, or out in public
Buy yourselves some new outfits and dress up for a fancy night on the town. Or, stay in and do a little role-playing in the bedroom. Buy him a firefighter or policeman costume and pick her up a french maid’s costume or just pick up some sexy lingerie from the mall for you both to slip into something a little more…revealing.
4. Feed your senses, and each other
Pick up your favorite erotic foods and bring them to the bedroom for some fun and tasty play. Feed each other chocolate-covered strawberries or molten lava cake. Valentine’s Day is calorie-free so live it up for a night. You can get back on track tomorrow.
5. Prepare a date night in a bag, for a hotel
This one is my favorite. Pick out your favorite toys, clothing, and purchase your supplies for intimacy online at Walmart, then pack a very special bag for a night at a hotel. Book the honeymoon suite or pick the local bed and breakfast, but be prepared for intimacy in every way you can think of for this special date night out with your other half.
Whether you only have a babysitter for a few hours or a full day and night to yourselves, Valentine’s Day is a day to show your honey that you love and appreciate him/her. Whatever you decide, be sure to add a little spice and intimacy to your date night and you will be able to count it a success.
I would love to get away to a hotel! Great ideas! #client
These are great ideas. I’ve been thinking about Valentine’s Day and wondering what I could pull off since we never have a sitter. I really want to make this year special. Thanks for the tips!
