Action Shot Camera {Video Review} from the eyes of a 4-year-old
Have you ever wondered what the world would be like from the eyes of a 4 year old? Everything seems so tall and all the messes on the floor are your world. My boy was a trooper recently when I strapped a camera on his tummy and told him to go explore. He didn't know what was going on, but he went with it because it was something new and curious.
Action Shot Camera {Video Review}
from the eyes of a 4-year-old
My boy is getting into more sports and activities and we want to catch it all on camera and video. Hubby bought me a new camera for Christmas that will take great action shots and video, but there is nothing quite like having a view from the perspective of a 4-year-old. My little reviewer strapped on the Action Shot Camera and took a tour of the house and while he had trouble keeping his fingers off the lens of the camera, he still got a few great shots.
Tips for catching great action shots
The Action Shot Camera is small and comes with a strap to attach it to your child, but here are a few tips I learned quickly from this experience.
- Make sure the camera is pointing the right direction (the first part of his video is a sideways perspective)
- Ensure there is proper lighting (the camera works indoors and outdoors, but there is a definite advantage to natural outside lighting)
- Clean up the mess in the living room before sending your boy on an exploration into the living room (the dogs made a huge mess of the couches and ate a book overnight, which I did not clean up before sending him to explore)
- Don't let your shorty walk up to you from behind while recording (my huge butt looks even larger from a 4-year-old perspective)

Happy Crazy Review Points
We think this camera would be fun for letting the boy explore and I loved that I could hear him humming and talking to himself during the exploration. He was able to strap it to his tummy and walk around, talking to family during Christmas and the family loved talking to him. When he learns to ride his bike (if he ever gets the coordination to pedal the bike) we have a helmet mount so we can see where he has been. I would love to have it connected to a satellite and watch where he is going as it is happening! The camera is small and sturdy and comes with a protective mounting system so it will be difficult for him to do some real damage to it.
As I mentioned, this camera is good for inside and outside videos, but has a much clearer picture when used in natural light outside. We like how it transitioned well when he was looking outside and then moved back inside.
A Few Crazy Changes
I couldn't really think of much I would change, other than the ability to watch the video as it is being filmed. The quality of the video is not HD or movie-worthy, but it is much clearer than I thought it would be. This is a camera for children and for action shots and is not priced as a digital video camera would be. Suggested retail price is around $49.99.

from the eyes of a 4-year-old
{special note: This video is a little long, but you get to see the transition between different lighting perspectives. The first section is my boy wandering around the house. The second section is at a family Christmas party. Some of the movement is shaky and I did not correct the steadiness when uploading so the review is "raw".}
What action shots would you take with the Action Shot Camera?!!
This review was made possible by Mom Spark Media. Thoughts are my own. I received an Action Camera for the purpose of this review.
Oh I love this! I need to get this for me and my little guy!
