How to Pamper Girlfriends with a Spa at Home Party
Taking time to pamper yourself can be hard to do sometimes. This time of year can be stressful and the weather can wreak havoc on your skin. Do you think your girlfriends are going through the same struggles as you? Why not pamper yourself and your girlfriends?! I decided to pamper my friends, my sisters, and my sister's friends in an Honorary Sisterpalooza Spa at Home Party!!

When I'm looking for a great deal on a bigger quantity of products, I always think of Sam's Club. When I decided to have a girlfriends' Spa at Home party, I knew it would be the perfect place to go. I'm very new to pampering because I very rarely pamper myself, but I knew that I wanted to look for some lotions and possibly facial products. Most of my girlfriends wear makeup (I don't) so this was a great place to look for what I needed. Find out what I shopped for in my Sam's Club NIVEA Spa at Home shopping album.
My sisters and I have this tradition – Sisterpalooza – that started with Black Friday shopping, but was officially named two years ago when we attended an all day concert with no kids, no significant others, and no ties to "real life". This has always been the way things work when the 3 of us get together, but now we have a name for it! Occasionally, we add in a few of our friends because each of us has friends who are close with all 3 of us (I think they just want to be one of the sisters, haha!!). I decided this would be an Honorary Sisterpalooza Spa Party!! Our older sister, Stacie, was unable to make it so my younger sister, Beth, and I each invited a few friends and I planned to pamper them all by offering hand massages!!
Amanda was first to volunteer for a hand massage. Her hands were so tiny that I was afraid I would break them! She said it was relaxing to have someone else rub her hands…and suggested that I offer foot massages as well… Amanda does not experience extremely dry hands, but enjoyed the massage regardless.
Katy works in an OB/GYN office and handles urine samples all day long. She has to wash her hands hundreds of times per day. Her hands are dry and cracked and she was more than happy to let me massage them! Although it was my first attempt at hand massages, apparently I was fairly good at it. Katy said it felt good to have the moisturizing lotion on her hands, but did mention that it burned a little on her knuckles where her hands were almost raw.
Emmi, Janet, and Katy all talked about ways they could pamper themselves from time to time. There may or may not have been some "man bashing" that went on for a short time. I encouraged them to start with taking longer showers, not allowing the kids in the bathroom with them (so they could take their time) and taking a night for themselves from time to time.

Alex, Beth, and Amanda are the young'ins of the group. Alex has three children and said she simply doesn't pamper herself. She brought her children with her to the Spa at Home party and I wanted to babysit for her just so she would go take some "me" time. Beth knows how to pamper herself…she isn't married and doesn't have kids! She is very good; however, at teaching others how to take care of themselves. She takes my boy sometimes so Hubby and I can have date night. Amanda is fairly newlywed (2 years, maybe) and ready to start having children. She says she doesn't pamper herself much now, but she will keep these tips in mind once she has children.
As the party wound down, the ladies headed to the gift table to check out the goodies. They all wanted to know more about the NIVEA lotion. Each lady went home with a large bottle of NIVEA lotion, either a hand soap or a package of makeup remover cloths, and perfume candy. There were a few of the small bottles of lotion as well if someone wanted to take one.
After the party, I packaged up a gift bag for Kim, one of my sister's friends who just had a baby girl and couldn't make it to the party and a bag for my older sister, Stacie. I saw Stacie the following day at a football game and her birthday was the following day so that was great timing.
While I was pampering myself and my girlfriends, Hubby was at home with The Boy having a boy's night. I came home that night to a clean boy in his jammies, watching a movie, and ready for bed. Hubby was excited to hear about the party and proud of me for taking the time for myself. Let me just tell you that THIS is a long way from where we have been in the past. I was encouraged by NIVEA and by Hubby's new pampering attitude and I have joined the movement!! I vowed to massage every week and then I sent him a kiss!!
How do you pamper yourself and your girlfriends?!!

I want to go to a spa party! I really need some pampering! Looks like y’all had fun!
Such a great idea! I’m a full time mommy so spa days usually don’t happen for me. Maybe an at-home one is in order soon!
I am a grad student and I think this would be an awesome thing to do right before or after finals!! Thanks for the great idea!!
This is a fantastic idea, and so many of my friends could use a night like this. maybe I should arrange one, hopefully it will catch on and we can do it often.
I think it is important to pamper yourself every once in a while and it is time for me to do that soon!! I have to see who will agree to do it.
My wife had a similar party and she loved it, along with some pretty cool prizes
Anytime Wine and Oreos are involved you can count me in, looks like you guys had a blast!!
Such a wonderful idea! Wish I could afford to pamper my sister and friends with great stuff but I guess babysitting works too
I babysit very aften and my sis appreciates it a ton but it would be nice to have a girls night to pamper with some goodies. Thanks for sharing!
Babysitting for your sister is such a wonderful gift!! Anytime my sister does this for me, I am so extremely grateful!! I’m happy that I could pamper her and her friends because they help me all the time with my boy.
I’m so glad you and your sisters, plus extra honorary sisters, were able to take some time out for girl time Even a little time every so often can make a world of difference in trying to keep up with the often hectic schedule of a busy mom. Happy and relaxed Mom is good for everyone and your husband is a wise man to support your effort Thanks so much for sharing your story!

We had a great time and I’m hoping to start a new tradition with the honorary sisters as well! My husband is really starting to come around and I’m so proud of him.
I REALLY need to do this with my mom, aunt, and best friend-the post was great and excellent ideas-I’m so braindead half of the time I’d get to the store and I’d forget what to buy *duh*. i don’t pamper myself at all-I do however spend hours brushing my cats, clipping their nails, brushing heir teeth, ears, then giving them ‘wild Alaskan Salmon with Steamed garden greens’, while I have a yogurt…pampered felines who have done a wonderful job training me! Thank you for reminding me I could use more than a 5 minute shower
I have done spa night with some girlfriends before but never thought to try the lotion and massage route. We do mani pedi and facials. Thanks for this I think this will be our next girls night.
This looks like a lot of fun.
Looks like everyone had a fun relaxing time at the party. This is great for all us never get done working moms. I also like Nivea brand products for men and women both. Not all woman have had a pedicure – so treat yourself to one. A great idea for a gift for your girlfriend or wife right before the busy holidays
