Updating my boy’s Fall wardrobe with CookiesKids.com
September 22 was the first day of Fall and if there is one time of year that I love more than any, it is Fall. In Texas, it can be difficult figuring out when/if Fall is going to hit. When it does, it may just be one random morning when we least expect it. We need to get prepared now! I’m working on updating my boy’s Fall wardrobe and we are trying new fashions this year.
Now that the school year is in full swing and the new clothes for back to school are bought, the pocketbooks are not hurting any longer so it’s time to start thinking Fall wardrobe. I heard a lot about CookiesKids.com when everyone was buying school uniforms. My boy isn’t in school yet so it took me a while to make my way over to the website. Once I did, I was quickly pulled in and browsing all the clothes and my smile kept getting bigger when I saw the amazing prices!!
My boy absolutely loves getting new clothes. A while back he got a new outfit in the mail and he was so excited to try it on. The problem was, he was sick. We told him that he needed to rest and he could try it on the following day. He held onto that outfit and slept with it!! The next morning he woke up and told me that he was feeling better and needed to put on his new clothes.
Hubby and I love to shop for clothes for our boy. The day we had a sonogram to find out the gender of our baby, we went straight to a clothing store to start buying his outfits. My stepmom also loves to buy clothes for him and she is the best at finding the deepest discounts and at finding the best clothes at garage sales and resale shops. Between our love for shopping and her inability to pass up a good deal, our boy always has a new outfit to get excited about…until this year.
He is growing faster than we thought!!
We are a football family, no doubt about it, and my boy loves to get football gear any chance he can. As I was browsing CookiesKids.com, I saw this Tuff Guys “Football League” 3-Piece Set (and in the Dallas Cowboys colors :)) and it looked so warm and comfy. I thought this would be a great outfit for attending a football game toward the end of the football season when the temperatures drop.
As you can tell, it is a little small on him and I dying to order another (because I can totally give this to a close friend who has a boy) because he loved it so much and it’s amazingly soft. However, my boy loved it so much that when I told him that it was too small, he said he was small, too, and ran to jump in the bed and pout. I told you…he loves getting new clothes!!
I was finally able to bribe him to take off the football set to try on this Kids Headquarters “Big Boy Crew” 3-Piece Outfit. He says it is his boating outfit. I guess maybe he thinks it’s a life vest and oars on the symbol…who knows?!! In any case, I think you can tell from his face that he loves it so much!! He and I are a lot alike when we get excited about something…
The Boy is quite particular about his clothes, but when likes something, he gets very excited! Toward the end of cold weather last year, he started telling us that he would only wear “stretchy (or soft) pants with stripes”. This mostly meant wind pants or sweatpants with the racing stripes on the sides. Up until then, I had always put jeans on him and now I have to be more particular as I’m shopping for him.
I think I did good on this one. The pants are khaki slacks, but have elastic waist and they are a little loose so nothing is pushing on his tummy. My boy is quite a ham as well when it comes to showing off his clothes. He likes to look “handsome” and show everyone every new piece of clothing, all the way down to his new plain white socks! I surprised him this time with the clothes, but I can’t wait to shop more with him because he and I will have so much fun finding outfits we like (pinning a few on HIS Pinterest board) and sharing our shopping fun!

About CookiesKids
CookiesKids is not only online! Check out brick and mortar CookiesKids stores in seven stores in the NYC area in the Bronx, Brooklyn and Jamaica. In fact, CookiesKids has been around for 40 years!!
In 1972, a young man named Cookie and his brother Marvin went into business together. They rented a 1600 square foot store in Jamaica, Queens, fixed it up, bought inventory and Summer andFall, and opened a day after Thanksgiving with a full stock of holiday toys. The toys were a success and they put the extra money toward buying children’s clothing for the next season. When that did well, they bought more clothing. The business was on it’s way. As the brothers Cookie, Marvin and Sonny, who had come in as a third partner in the business, began to open new stores in new locations, inventory expanded. Besides the latest fashions, our customers wanted shoes, toys, backpacks and accessories and we were prepared to deliver. By the late 1990′s there were six superstores throughout the NYC area, and though they previously had different names, by that time they were all named Cookie’s Kids. Also in the late ’90s came an important addition to Cookie’s Kids’ inventory: school uniforms. It was the steady success in uniform sales that paved the way for founding CookiesKids.com in 2007, which originally sold uniforms and soon after the entire Cookie’s Kids Inventory.
How are you updating your children’s Fall wardrobe this year?!!

Such cute clothes and I haven’t heard of them. My son is in dire need of new clothes. He only has 3 pairs of pants that fit him and all short-sleeved shirts. I better check them out. Thanks!
yes, mine had a height growth spurt, but still slender enough for last year’s clothes…so frustrating!
We lived in Hawaii for almost 4 years, so this year, I get to buy all new cold-weather clothes for my kids. CookiesKids has cute stuff, so I think I know where I’ll be doing some of my shopping
It is really cute clothing and such a great price! I cannot imagine moving AWAY from Hawaii.
