The Odd Life of Timothy Green {Special LIVE Q&A with Jennifer Garner} and activities
The Odd Life of Timothy Green opens in theaters today, August 15th
Are you looking forward to seeing The Odd Life of Timothy Green?!! I am so excited to see it and have heard some really great reviews so far. It’s one of the last great movies to come out this Summer and I’m thrilled that it is a “feel good” family movie. What a great way to top off the Summer vacation than to make a family event to see The Odd Life of Timothy Green.
I had a very special opportunity yesterday to see a special trailer from The Odd Life of Timothy Green via Constellation TV and then attend a LIVE chat with Jennifer Garner. I am not easily “star struck” but I also haven’t met many stars so when Jennifer Garner showed up LIVE on the screen, I was so excited!
Jennifer Garner is ADORABLE!!
Seriously, she was so candid and fun to talk with about the movie and her role. She talked about the movie and what it was like to film and play the character. She raved about working with CJ Adams who plays Timothy and the director, Peter Hedges. She also just chatted as if she was in the same room with us. I felt that she was talking “with” us and not “at” us. Just ADORABLE!!
I was able to ask Jennifer about her thoughts on talking with bloggers in a LIVE chat about The Odd Life of Timothy Green and I believe she was almost as excited as we were to be chatting LIVE. She kept smiling so big (which seems to be her personality anyway) and seemed truly interested in our questions. She said several times that she loves “Mommy Bloggers” and would love to just sit with us and ask us about what we do.
For more of the transcript of the LIVE chat (because she takes better notes than me) visit MamaNYC on The Odd Life of Timothy Green.

Academy Award®–nominated director/writer Peter Hedges (“Dan in Real Life,” What’s Eating Gilbert Grape?”) brings enchantment to the screen with “The Odd Life of Timothy Green,” an inspiring, magical story about a happily married couple, Cindy and Jim Green (Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton), who can’t wait to start a family but can only dream about what their child would be like. When young Timothy (CJ Adams) shows up on their doorstep one stormy night, Cindy and Jim—and their small town of Stanleyville—learn that sometimes the unexpected can bring some of life’s greatest gifts.
When young Timothy suddenly comes into the lives of Cindy and Jim Green, they learn that sometimes the unexpected can bring some of life’s greatest gifts.
We went to see this at the theatre when my parents traveled here to visit and we brought a few of our young adult kids too. We all enjoyed it. I thought it was cute and sweet. Nice family movie.
I love the charitable effort to collect socks related to the movie too, what a cute idea.
I have yet to see it, but I have just heard that it is coming to DVD on 12/4 so I’m looking forward to it!
The idea of a son coming out of the garden is crazy but when you see the trailer for it, it actually looks like a really good movie. It’s not one that I would run to the movie theater to watch but definitely will rent it
thanks for the great post!
Thanks for sharing my review! And Jennifer Garner was perhaps one of my favorite celebrity interviews thus far. She was so down-to-earth and enjoyed the little bit of time we had to spend with her. Great post!

You are very welcome! I can’t wait to see it and review it myself! She was so fun and I was sad it wasn’t longer because she seemed so interested in talking with us.
