This advice is awesome!!
When I little, I was in the yard and Daddy was mowing. One had been left out, it hit me right between the eyes and knocked me out. He thought I was dead. Maybe that is why I don’t have a lot of childhood memories & my memory is horrible now.LOL

The best lesson I learned from my “Dad” is how NOT to treat my children. My dad was a HORRIBLE parent and I don’t plan on following in his foot steps.

The Golden Rule!
Always stand up for yourself!
My best lesson is to always rely on family, they won’t turn on you.
be honest it always is better in the end!
Saying please and thank goes a long way for you and for the other person. Also, “Close the door we aren’t trying to cool off the entire neighborhood” has been a great one to reuse and help keep the bill down.
He made me read my entire car manual before he’d let me drive my first car. That has really helped me with car problems I’ve had. At least now I know something.

My Dad always told us- “Education is your ticket to freedom”. He was right. You need to be educated, not only can you make more money than drop-outs, but you are happier in general! We were taught to love learning and always be fascinated and exploring.
Be honest and patient.
My father was never around, so the best lesson I learned from him is what a good example of real Dad is not.

My dad taught me a lot before lung cancer took him away from me when he was only 52. But the one nugget of knowledge that I passed on to my kids already is: When using a knife, if you cut off your finger, put it on ice so that it can be reattached. !!
I learned to be honest and value family.

My soulmate/bff love of my life husband Todd lifts my spirits the same way my dad has that I shared about (Todd and I raised 5 amazing kids together) … for example I was feeling self conscious bc I am soooo pale. I told him I feel like I look like a corpse, he said NOOoooo you look like a porcelain doll! I have accepted my fair skin so much better now bc of him. : )

Two special and unique ones I learned from my dad
1. as a teen I was embarassed that I had size 9 shoes I use to feel self conscious and try to hide my feet until my dad said “Honey you are tall, you are 5 ft 9 if you had small feet you would have no stability and you would fall over on your face!” awww lol
2. After I had my 4 beautiful BIG babies I was feeling self conscious about my stretch marks, my dad who is not a mushy or sentimental acting man at all and usually is more likely to tease shocked me by saying.. Well if you ask me, you should think of those at beauty marks bc you wouldn’t have them if you didnt have those 4 beautiful kids. ” Awwwwww
Thanks for the great giveaway!!
