Boost Your Budget Pantry Challenge 2012
In April 2011, I became very interested in couponing to save money for my family. You guessed it…I was watching Extreme Couponing and wanted in on that action!!
During my learning process, I “met” the most awesome blogger, Denise, from Shopper Strategy and she has helped me a LOT with my couponing journey. We’ve become good friends (even though we’ve never actually met) and any time I have a question about couponing, stockpiling, or blogging in general, I run to her!!
Denise has asked me to join her in the Boost Your Budget Pantry Challenge and I am super stoked!!
Here’s the details:
A group of bloggers are going to attempt to eat from our cabinets, pantry, freezer and stockpile as much as possible and keep our spending for the month to a bare minimum. The catch for me is that I currently do not have a stockpile in either my pantry or freezer because I have been a bad couponer and our financial situation has not been the best lately. I figure this is a great time to start the New Year off right, set a budget, and try to spend the bare minimum. You will get to see a couponer in action from the ground up!!
Shopper Strategy is looking for a few bloggers to co-host this event by hosting the challenge linky on their blogs and doing a post each Monday of the month.
Jan 2nd – Goal Week
Jan 9th – Update
Jan 16th – Update
Jan 23rd – Update
Jan 30th – Final Notes
This is not a “no spend” month, this is a “make do with what you have on hand and spend as little as possible” month. Everybody’s personal goals will be different and we can each set our own rules – the point is merely to challenge ourselves and start off the new year with a boost to our budgets! We’ll also be giving away a $25 Coupon Clutch gift certificate each week to one participant who either leaves a link to a challenge post or a comment about their challenge goals. Won’t you join us?

This is a great contest. Between blogging, and my part time job, etc… I have fallen behind on my personal couponing. I do not have a stock pile due to the fact that finances have been tight, but we were also robbed this past month. UGH! I will however gladly spread the word on twitter and facebook about your site.
Best wishes! I know you all will see big savings!
Thank you. I’m sorry to hear about your financial trouble and the burglary…I hope your 2012 is much better!!
Hello, I am just now getting started with coupons but I look forward to seeing how everyone does. I would like to join in. I am taking a class on this soon so I can learn all I need to learn.
Hi Glenda!! Head on over to Shopper Strategy and link up if you would like!!
Glenda, I cannot figure out what is up with my comments, but all I got from you was "null"…haha!!
Thanks so much for talking me up Janet! You're the best I'm super excited about saving a bundle in January and looking forward to having you co-host!
Thanks, Denise!! I’m scared, but looking forward to it!!
