Praises and Prayer Requests

I am joining Joan at the Grace Cafe for praises and prayer requests.

I have so many reasons to Praise God these days!!

I have the most loving husband who (even though he hates it) supports my blogging as best as he knows how, who wants to do only what is best for our little family, who works harder than he should just because that’s how it’s supposed to be done, who cleans the house, takes care of The Boy at 3am, cooks all our meals, and never gets in return what he truly deserves.

 
I have the cutest, happiest son on the planet who can light up a room with his smile, stops strangers in the store to say hi, makes friends with the lady in the next booth at a restaurant and hugs her when he leaves, who wants to share his breakfast with his girlfriend at daycare every day, who gets excited about a haircut and a Lego magazine in the mailbox, and who is the best cuddler at night you never want to get out of bed.
 
I have the best job (although it’s tough on the emotions) that allows me to be close to home, flexible enough that I can take time off or leave to run an errand, or attend a daycare party, and I’m pretty darn good at it.
 
I’m alive and well (and my family is too!) and I have the freedom to share my praises with you!!
 
My prayer requests stay the same most of the time: I want a baby girl (would also be thrilled with a boy), I want to show glory to God in everything I do, and I want to follow His path for me.

  1. I would also Praise my husband as he is a lot like yours and my wonderful son Charlie who I Love more than life. I would ask for Prayers for my husband and his job as it is not to stable right now and we really need him to find a stable job.

  2. Hi Janet – love your list of praises and blessings. I believe I shared with you how long my mother prayed for a girl, so never give up hope. (Although I know you hope you don’t have to wait 12 years like my mom did!) :)

  3. Great praises! It’s so good for your soul to list your praises! Personally, my praise and prayer request would be regarding the same thing. Monday night, on the way home from work, my husband hit a deer. He wasn’t hurt at all – which is a complete miracle & I give all praise to God!! But, the car was totaled – which of course is where the prayer request comes in. We are waiting on the insurance to hear what they say as far as value & so on because we’ll be needing to get a replacement car. Please pray that what they give us will cover the cost of a car good enough for him to drive to work & back!
