First of all, you all probably know that I dropped the ball this week and forgot to pick a featured blog until the day OF the hop so I didn’t really get to tell you about Eight Six Eleven on the hop post. (I actually almost forgot to post the hop altogether 
). So…I’ll continue to feature Eight Six Eleven next week AND pick a Featured Newbie from this week’s link-ups!!

Tell me a little bit about yourself and your family
I’m a mid-twenties girl who recently married her best friend aka the man of her dreams. Together we are are exploring life’s adventures as newlyweds. I’m into all things DIY and decor, blogging, photography, baking and spending time with the family.
How long have you been blogging?
I started my blog shortly after our wedding in August, 2011. (*must be the 8 6 11.. 
) I cannot believe how quickly I have gained the amazing readers and friends who are now a part of my life.
Why did you start blogging? Is this also why you continue blogging?
I started my blog to share with other my adventures of life after “I do” and all of the crazy happenings I am sure to face living life with a husband, a house and dogs. I love to blog because it’s my tiny space in the world to share my ideas, thoughts and photos. I know I will continue blogging not only for my readers but because it will allow me to look back on all the memories I am able to document through my blog.
Who does your blog appeal to? Is this who you thought would be your target audience?
My blog mainly appeals to twenty-something ladies who enjoy reading about the lifestyle of someone similar to them.
What direction do you see your blog going in the future?
I’m hoping my blog can continue to thrive as it has the past two months. It may not be much but I am proud of it!
What is the biggest challenge you have faced so far with your blog?
My biggest challenge with blogging is keeping up with the comments. I enjoy reading and responding to each and everyone one of them but sometimes time does not allow me to do so.
What do you love about blogging?
I absolutely love being able to share my creativity whether in the form of text, a photo, a tutorial, etc. I don’t want to jinx myself but I never have writers block. There is always something to blog about!
What do you NOT love about blogging?
It can be frustrating when you put so much time and effort into your blog but yet get very few readers and viewers. Thankfully my blog is growing. It’s a slow process but it will get there.
What types of product reviews and giveaways do you feature?
I like to host giveaways that allow me to giveaway crafts that I make. I recently held a Halloween giveaway which featured a Halloween clothespin magnet Set and I’m also currently giving away a framed quote on another blog.
What was your favorite product to review?
Unfortunately I have not reviewed many products at this time but this is something I would like to do more of in the future.
What advice do you have for those wanting to get into this or up the value of their giveaways?
While this is something I am still working on myself, I would suggest offering to review products. (*you know, this is probably a silly question for a newbie blogger…I think I’ll stop asking it…haha!!)

Do you have any bloggers that you consider to be mentors?
I have a few close blogger friends that I help inspire me and support me.
How do you find time to blog?
I try to draft my posts a day or so in advance so that each morning I can do a quick review and publish the post for the day. I also keep track of each post in my planner so I can prepare any photos or research that needs completed ahead of time.
What is your best advice for a Newbie Blogger?
Just don’t give up! It’s always a slow start at first but you will succeed if you put time and heart into it. And don’t forget to blog for yourself. What a great way to document and share your life with others.
