Faith Like No Other

I just finished telling my family’s story yesterday and I’ve talked about our church and how we feel that Hubby’s job has lead us to Grace Bible Church which has saved our lives and our marriage and our family.
We have been overwhelmed with the strength of Faith that our church congregation possesses and strive to be so strong in our Faith as well.
On Sunday, our pastor, Dan Gold, told us about Mrs. K who, last Friday, suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm. Mrs. K is not a member of our church, but she is a member of a church in town, Evangelistic Temple, with which we have a strong relationship.
Our pastor was asking us to pray for Mrs. K and her family as they have to make tough decisions and go through this terrible time. We prayed as a congregation and Hubby and I have been praying all week as well.
When our pastor said Mrs. K’s name, Hubby (who is rarely able to be in church because he is working) gasped! I gave him a puzzling look and he reminded me that Mr. K is a customer of his store and he knows Mr. K very well as he buys meat from Hubby often.
Hubby and I only have one vehicle and I usually take him to work, but I cannot always pick him up as early as he gets out of work. Mr. K apparently knows that Hubby walks home from work and one day Mr. K was in the store as Hubby was leaving. As Hubby got part of the way home (on a 100+ degree day), Mr. K stopped and offered him a ride…and had already bought a water for him!!
On Monday, our congregation received an email from the K family and I knew immediately that I had to share it. The strength of Faith in this email is so strong that it has to be shared as far as it can!!
Friends and Family,
Wow! We can’t express the gratitude and thankfulness to you all enough! I want to thank you all PERSONALLY and I promise I will get to that because I can’t begin to explain how overwhelmed I am with how great you have been and are!
You know a Friday 3 am call about our wonderful Momma made me initially ill, fearful, worried, burdened, desperate, angry and hurt but, I want you to know all those things were soon lifted off of me and my family! It’s hard to believe something so traumatic has happened but, through it all every one of those things has turned into a peace that is indescribable, praises all day long, and constant rejoicing. Our God is mighty and powerful! As many of you know we were given two options after tests diagnosed her ruptured brain aneurysm…one, to leave her in a coma and not do surgery not knowing what to come or two, take advantage of the small window of opportunity and perform surgery before it was too late with the doctors giving us a 1% chance she’ll make it through but, guess what?? Because of our ultimate Physician and the strong and courageous lady she is, she DID pull through. HE has heard and hears each and every one of our prayers and will continue to work miracles. Doctors and staff say it may be a long road ahead but, with the God I know be prepared to be blown away!
She has moved her right arm and leg multiple times, and has moved her thumb and toe on command a few times. As I stood next to my Daddy and Sisters today, Dad let her know we were holding her hand and with her every step…. a tear slowly fell from both of her eyes. SHE HEARS US GUYS…. HE hears us!! I long to talk to her again and wrap my arms around her but, be ready we got her a new pair of shoes waiting on her because she will be walking out of ETMC’s doors ready to tell the world what she has seen and heard!! We will continue to speak to her and tell her about all YOUR goodness, kindness and prayers! We truly thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Hallelujah and God Bless you all and Love you all!
I will bless the Lord at all times; His praises shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make it’s boast in the Lord; the humble shall hear of it and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together. I sought the Lord, and HE heard me, and delivered me from all my fears! – Psalms 34 1:4
.
Please take some time this week to pray for the K family and know that He is listening and He will answer all of our prayers!!
If you would like to leave a prayer request in the comments, please do so!!
What gifts has God given you today?
Powerful testimony! Praying for Mrs. K. and her family.
Thank you for sharing this today.
Blessings,
Joan
