The King's Bread Pudding {Petit Jean Meats Unusual Bacon Dessert}

Chocolate-covered bacon and banana bread pudding with peanut butter cream topping. Bread pudding inspired by Petit Jean Meat's Unusual Bacon Dessert Pin It to Win It contest {April 2012} inĀ 
Ingredients
  • **BREAD PUDDING**
  • 2 large loaves of french bread, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 bananas, chopped
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 4 cups of heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 1½ lbs bacon, chopped, fried, and drained
  • **CHOCOLATE COVERED BACON**
  • 16 oz. bag of chocolate morsels
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • Several slices of fried bacon
  • **PEANUT BUTTER TOPPING**
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • ½ cup peanut butter
  • ½ cup sugar
Instructions
  1. Combine eggs, sugar, vanilla, butter, cream, and cinnamon and pour over bread - let sit for one hour.
  2. Add bananas and bacon and mix thoroughly.
  3. Pour into 9 x 13 glass baking dish and bake for one hour at 350.
  4. Prepare - CHOCOLATE-COVERED BACON
  5. Melt chocolate morsels and mix in heavy whipping cream until smooth.
  6. Drizzle over fried bacon.
  7. Prepare - PEANUT BUTTER TOPPING
  8. Combine whipping cream, peanut butter, and sugar.
  9. Mix thoroughly.
