Boy Mom Resources – 10 Books About Raising Boys
Just so you know, this list of books about raising boys contains affiliate links, which means if you click through one of the links below and then order something from Amazon.com, I make a small commission. Believe me, it will just go towards more books for my son, so at least it’s a good cause!
Raising boys is a challenge and boy moms need all the support we can get. This is why I started this Boy Mom Resources series, of course. When we find out we’re pregnant and start all the planning, there are tons of books to help us through pregnancy and raising a baby, but what we eventually need are books that help us raise our boys into little men and then grown-ups who are successful and happy. We know how to grow up as a girl, but being a boy is a different experience and we need to know the details whether we have a supportive spouse to help or not. That’s why today I’m listing for you all a few books about raising boys that I think would be useful.
I am currently reading the 5 Love Languages of Children, which is honestly a book that every mom should read. I’m learning so much about how my boy is a “quality time” and “physical touch” type of person. It’s something that every mom probably knows about their child, but never really thought about it. I’m learning how to fill my boy’s emotional bucket and we are seeing lots of improvement in his behaviors. (you know, because even though he looks sweet…doesn’t mean he IS sweet all the time)
Those are some cute looking books. I have to share with my sister who has a son.
