Whether you are traveling for vacation or business, check out the hotels with IHG Rewards Club for the best service and a good night’s sleep.
My little family doesn’t travel much, but recently I have had to take a business trip and we took a little mini-vacation trip as well. Anytime we are looking for a place to stay, we check the travel apps for a good hotel, but for these two trips, we took a different route and booked through IHG Rewards hotels and we were so pleased that I knew I just had to tell you all about it.
Earlier in May, I was sent on a business trip for work to learn about some new training that I could potentially be giving across the state. I was nervous about the training itself, but what always makes me the most nervous is finding a good hotel for a good price in a good location and getting a good night’s sleep. I was sent to Houston, TX, for the training and I know very little about downtown Houston. It sounded scary to me to be in downtown of a major Texas city. I talked to a friend from work who had stayed in that area before and she recommended the Holiday Inn Express & Suites. Since I trust her judgment, I went with it and realized they were an IHG hotel. I signed up for the IHG Rewards Club and booked my stay.

Let me tell you that I could not have been more pleased with the hotel. I slept good for two nights. I had a good warm breakfast. The staff was overly friendly. I just couldn’t have asked for a better overnight experience. And I earned points for going on a trip that was mandatory for work!
Just a couple of weeks ago, Howard managed to get off work on a Saturday and Sunday so we decided to go on a mini-vacation and get away for a couple of days. We traveled to Irving, TX, to visit Grapevine Mall and Legoland and the Aquarium. Of course, what mini-vacation is complete without a stay at a hotel so we decided to go with another IHG hotel and ended up staying at Staybridge Suites in Irving, TX.

Again, we were met with friendly staff and a great room. Benjamin was thrilled with the pool and he loves any room with a desk and pad of paper with a pen so he can write his “travel blog”. We all slept good that night and had a great warm breakfast the next morning. The room was so quiet even though we were caught in a storm (Hello, Texas rain right now is crazy!). Plus, we totally earned more points through IHG and can’t wait to keep going until we earn some of the amazing Rewards that IHG offers!
