Energized for Continued Weight Loss #FattyFriday
Now that I’ve committed to getting back to the Fatty Friday posts, I feel a little more energized to eat even better than I have been and really trying to knock out this weight loss finally. I recommit every day, sometimes every meal, because I mess up a lot, but weight loss is a war and if I keep showing up for battle, maybe I’ll win more than lose (or lose more than gain, as the case may be).
This week I made a change in the way I ate at work for breakfast and lunch. I took tuna fish with me (a big pack that I bought during my Sam’s shopping spree) and ate that all week. I can really go through a lot of tuna fish quickly like that, but I love it so it’s all good. If I ever get bored of it, I can just add in some extras (I typically just use lite mayo) to change it up, but for now I’m just going simple.
Earlier this week, I showed you my new water bottle labels and as inspiring as they are, I haven’t been good about water this week so I’m recommitting to my water challenges for myself this upcoming week. I know I always feel better when I drink water so I just need to make sure I have it available at work.
And here goes…I’m committing to walk with a friend on Monday evenings while our boys practice soccer. Ugh! Y’all, I cannot stand physical activity and I hate to sweat, but I need this. I sit at a desk all day and I sit in my bedroom on the computer all evening. I need some movement in my life. I’ve managed to avoid it for the past two weeks when she and I first talked about it (totally NOT my fault that I avoided it) but this coming Monday, we have to start moving! We’ve been talking about doing a Fun Walk in October (10/11, actually) and that is coming up way too fast for me to not have “trained” even a little. I can’t be the fat girl who tries to walk and ends up being picked up by the rescue van. I…just…can’t…
So, there’s my goals for the week. Do you want to know how I did in my weight loss?
I lost 2.2 lbs this week!
Howard lost 5.2 and I’m so proud of him! With his health issues, he hasn’t been able to take the appetite suppressants like I do, but he’s trying (on most days) to eat better. This week actually was a little challenging because our fridge stopped working and we had to throw everything out of the fridge and then ultimately out of the freezer as well. We think Howard fixed it, but we’re hesitant to stock back up until we are sure it’s working for good.
In any case, we’re on the right track. We showed up for battle and we conquered this week. We’re energized to continue this weight loss and just pray for the strength to keep going and moving forward!
Happy to see you’re back on track and energized. Good luck!
