**This post may get a little TMI, but what else did you expect from a post titled “Feminine Care Products…”?
You all have heard before how busy my life can get, but it isn’t getting any less busy and there are newbies reading so I’m going to remind you of what all I do on a daily basis. You may remember that my family only has one vehicle, and I’m the only one who knows how to drive it (love my stick shift!), so I’m the chauffeur around here and life gets hectic. Here’s a recap of one of my days:
Up at 7am, shower and get the family moving (okay, so Howard gets the family moving, but I have to keep them moving), and get them all out the door. Yes, there are only three of us, but the other two are males and slow and I just shower, dress, and I’m ready. I don’t do make-up or fix my hair so I’m easy peasy and out the door in no time.
During the school year, it was: Take Benjamin to Kindergarten (but now I take him to the YMCA), walk him in, hug him, sometimes walk him to his class, go back out to the car and take Howard wherever he is wanting to go. Sometimes we have to go to the gas station or Walmart or the pharmacy or wherever to get cigarettes, energy drinks, medicine or whatever. Every day is different!
Take Howard back home and then head to work. Or take Howard to work and then head to work, depending on his schedule.
Lunch at 12ish and I rarely take my lunch to work so I’m back out and finding something to eat. Sometimes that means a drive-thru, but sometimes that means going in to pick something up. Then, back to work.
Sometimes Howard works evenings so in mid-afternoon, I have to leave work again and pick him up to take him to work.
After work, I might have to pick Howard up from work (unless he’s working nights) and then pick up Benjamin and head home.
Play time, homework time, outside time, dinner time…all these things happen IF we don’t have a sport to go to for the evening. Otherwise, homework time and then sport time (Soccer, T-ball, etc.).
Then, if Howard did work an evening shift, it’s back to pick him up from work and home for bath time and bedtime (or, for me, blog time).
Now, during “that time of the month”, this schedule is horrific.
You see, Howard and I have been trying to concieve for almost 4 years and my body is not cooperating. I have months where my period is just a light spotting with TONS of cramping and then I have months where I’m dropping clots for days with very little cramping. Or, the worst – huge clots, lots of cramping, hot days, and tons of sports, along with Howard working nights = Mommy is NOT happy! No matter what type of period I’m having, it is not comfortable if I don’t have the right feminine care products.
I never really got the hang of using tampons and I’ve just always used pads of some kind, but finding the right feminine care products for me and my busy life is essential. I mean, I’m in and out of the car, sitting at a desk all day at work, up and down at home between helping with homework, giving a bath, running back and forth to sports…I needed to find something that worked well and was made to move with me!
I’m pretty sure I’ve found it with Stayfree Ultra Thin Regular & Overnight pads. I found them at Walmart during one of my “I’m about to start and last month’s pads didn’t work and I need something NOW” trips to the store and I’m happy to report that these pads are not only comfortable, but they can catch a clot like nobody’s business. Believe me when I say that I’ve tried almost all of the feminine care products out there and I am picky. I don’t want any bunching in my underpants, no sticking to my hoo-ha, it has to catch my flow no matter the strength, and it cannot feel like I’m wearing a diaper, even at night. I think I’ve found the right pads for me with Stayfree.
Bonus: From now through July 25, if you purchase 3 products from Stayfree®, Carefree®, and o.b.®, you can get a $5 Walmart gift card. Check out the qualifying details here.
Now that I’ve found the right products for me, I feel all empowered and such, so I thought I would find a few quotes for you and make a few Women Empowerment printables to show how strong I am feeling. There’s just no better way to feel like a strong woman than to find a way to make yourself feel great, even when you don’t feel so great.

I love these quotes! They are beautiful! Sometimes it’s so hard to find power when you’re cramping and bleeding all day long. It’s the worst. It’s great to have products that you can rely on to keep you secure and dry, though! #client
