Christmas Present Ideas for Pets
If your family is like mine, your pets are family members, too, so I’ve compiled a list, as a sponsored post for #CollectiveBias and Walgreens, of the best Christmas present ideas for pets. We have bones and chews, stockings and sweaters, itch spray and shampoo, all the best items you could want in one place, the petshoppe! #HappyAllTheWay
Sometimes when I’m Christmas shopping, I’m a little sad that my boy doesn’t get to be a part of the fun. Sure, Black Friday is great and this year I actually completed my Benjamin Shopping in one day! But, the fun of picking presents for others is the giving part and Benjamin LOVES to give. We have considered getting an angel from an angel tree (and now that I think about it, I think me might still) but we I’ve found a way for him to enjoy the shopping just as much as I do – Christmas presents for our dogs!
Anytime I think about really great treats and fun things for our dogs, I honestly think about Walgreens. We love seeing all the Christmas decorations and toys available at Walgreens so I knew that Benjamin would have a blast heading in for a shopping spree. He didn’t know; however, that we were buying for the dogs until we got there. He literally jumped up and down in the aisles when I told him. He said we would definitely need a basket because he was going to SHOP! Well…yikes…but yay as well.
We found these fun sweaters for dogs in the petshoppe products and he begged for them. We both agreed that this red and pink one would be adorable on either of our dogs, but it was too small for one and too big for the other so we left it for the other ladies in the aisle who were getting a kick out of Benjamin’s excitement. One of the ladies got so tickled that she actually bought the sweater for her dog!
Benjamin was very excited this year when we had to buy new stockings for all three of us (Long story, but I “might” have thrown out all of our Christmas decor when we moved) so he was super excited when he saw these stockings for dogs in the petshoppe. We picked this one up for the dogs to share and I think we both got more in the spirit after that!
Treats for the dogs were certain to make it in our basket because that’s really all our dogs care about, but I was really excited to see that all of the treats (and just about everything in the petshoppe) gave us extra rewards points. We picked up a package of the chicken wrapped dogs bones because they looked like Christmas cookies, but any of these treats would be perfect for your dogs.
We moved over to the end of the aisle to the health and wellness products for dogs and found this handy sign. Our dogs have several “issues” that require special shampoos and hot spot medication. They have dry skin and allergies and we are always looking for the right shampoo or medication to put on them. We picked up an itch spray that looked like it would work for either one of our two dogs and Benjamin was excited that they potentially wouldn’t be scratching at night when we are trying to go to sleep.
Finally, just because you don’t see it pictured, don’t worry, we did not forget to check out the Walgreens pet toys. We played with almost every single one and settled on a couple of tennis balls. I wanted the squeaky duck with the pull toy wings, but Benjamin was in charge so that’s what we got. He is convinced that he can teach our crazy dogs to play fetch. Good luck, boy!
What Christmas present ideas for dogs do you have this year?
I have a Walgreens way closer to my house than a pet store! This looks like it would save me time and money by shopping the Pet Shoppe products! #client
