Favorite Cartoons and Superheroes

When I was a child, I can remember one of my favorite things was to get up early on Saturday morning and watch cartoons. It was the only time (outside of holidays) that I could watch my favorite cartoons and TV shows. Unfortunately, I usually slept through some of the early morning shows, but I always managed to get at least one in before the day started.

Now that I have a boy, cartoons are on 24/7 and there’s DVR in case his favorite cartoons aren’t on. I can’t tell you how many Phineas and Ferb and SpongeBob SquarePants episodes we have recorded at any given time, but I can tell you that sometimes our DVR memory is full and my show gets deleted before a cartoon.

We are huge Phineas and Ferb fans, so much so that Howard and I *might* get a little excited when a new episode comes out, even more than our boy sometimes. We love the show. We love the characters. And I hope that someday we will be able to take our boy to one of the live shows!

The first time we saw a Phineas and Ferb movie come out, it was a big event for our family, complete with popcorn and pizza and Family Movie Night. This is what happened when Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel came out as well! We were so excited to not only have a new episode, but to also have a full length movie as well.

Of course, we were sad when it was time to delete it from our DVR to make room for other shows, but then I received a copy for review and now we can watch it anytime!

Benjamin was so excited when he saw this package arrive in the mail and immediately we began planning our movie night to watch Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel. We aren’t eating much pizza now that we are getting healthier, but we did have some fat-free popcorn and snuggled in the bed to watch it together!

About the Movie

Excelsior! The fate of the Tri-State area – and the world – hangs in the balance as Agent P and Danville’s most dynamic duo team up with four of Marvel’s greatest Super Heroes in one awesome full-length adventure.

It’s thwarted-business-as-usual for Dr. Doofenshmirtz – until a blast from his “Power-Drain-Inator” ricochets off of Phineas and Ferb’s space station, hitting Spider-Man, Iron Man, the Hulk and Thor. Now the kids must restore the Super Heroes’ lost powers before a group of dastardly super-villains destroy the planet! Fortunately, Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D. are also on the case, together with O.W.C.A.’s top agent, Perry the Platypus. Aren’t Phineas and Ferb a little young to help avert a potential disaster? Yes. Yes they are! Bursting with original songs and six additional episodes, Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel is a must-own, action-packed event of heroic proportions.

Our Review

This Phineas and Ferb movie is nothing short of exciting. I mean, who could beat our favorite cartoons and superheroes joining forces in an action-packed movie? We love the crazy antics of Dr. Doofenschmirtz and the fun adventures of Phineas and Ferb and their friends. When the superheroes lose their powers, Benjamin was a little concerned and he had to race to his room for a little wardrobe change.

Then, he was ready to fight crime with Phineas and Ferb and restore the super powers to the superheroes.

We had a great time with this movie and we *may* have watched it a few more more times since that first night. This boy is a P&F superFAN!

I am not sure if my niece would like this or not. Thank you for your review.

  2. I saw part of that while I was in Wisconsin. (Family includes a 6 year old boy.) The head shapes about drove me crazy! =)

I just realized that when I moved my blog … I somehow managed to mess up my RSS subscriptions. E-mail subs are fine. If you would be so kind as to resubscribe I would be ever so thankful! http://feeds.feedblitz.com/butterflymasterpiece
