I’m all set to blame this week on my monthly visitor and water weight. It’s probably partially true, but I have to say that the cupcakes I shoved in my face are even more to blame.
You see, here’s what happened. I got my period this week. It was just about two days early and that’s all fine and good, but the pain and the cravings were unbearable this time. I usually have one day of cramping and that is controlled with drinking more water and taking ibuprofen. This time, I had two full days of extreme pain and I didn’t make myself drink water. Instead, I took lots of ibuprofen and drank Monster energy drinks. I’m not too bright sometimes, I know.
Anyway, I made it through the pain, only to be slapped in the face with the cravings. I resisted all of the candy the night that Howard made his candy graveyard, but the next night…those zombie wedding cupcakes were calling my name. I didn’t ignore them. I ate and ate and practically made myself sick. I’m lucky that I only gained a little and didn’t gain it all back.
I gained 0.8 lbs this week.
Howard didn’t go with me because he stayed home with the boy. He’s been very supportive of my food choices, but he hasn’t been following the plan at all, really. I think that is a little challenging to me, but not as much as in the past. I’ve learned to find better food choices for myself and even made my own fresh fish tacos last week!
So, here’s the plan this week. I’m back at it full force. I’m closely counting calories and drinking more water. I have to buckle down and do this. I took 4 steps forward and 1 step back…and now it is time for another 4 steps.
I’m setting a goal – I want to have lost 10% of my original weight (369.8) by Thanksgiving. I’ve lost 28.4 so far. I need to lose 8.5 in the next four weeks.
I can do this!
