Could The Stork Help with My Infertility Issues?
This discussion about The Stork and infertility issues is part of a partnership with The Motherhood. I was compensated for my time; however, you all know that I’m having issues and I always write my own opinions, right?
One of the first pages I made on this blog was an About Me page. On that page, I declared that I want a baby girl so badly. That was two years ago. At that point, Howard and I had been trying for a second baby for about a year. It’s been three years now and we are still trying.
When we had Benjamin, he was a happy surprise. Howard and I hadn’t really dated long, but we knew we were in love and knew that we would love Benjamin from the moment the two pink lines showed up. Because we were newlyweds and first time parents and still getting to know each other, we decided it would be a long time before we had another baby. After Benjamin was born, I had an IUD put in and we were set. That was 2008.
In 2010, Howard and I started losing a lot of weight and getting healthier. After about three months on our new eating plan, my IUD fell out. Seriously, I was using the restroom and felt something strange…and there it was. Howard (and others) tease me that I lost weight too fast and my body couldn’t keep up. In any case, we took it as a sign that we could start trying for (or at least stop preventing) another baby. That was Labor Day (ironically) of 2010.
As I sit here at the end of September 2013, I am still not pregnant and we are losing weight again (we got off track). We haven’t tried any medical interventions, but we have tried monthly calendars and my phone app that tells me about my cycle. We have tried being intimate during ovulation periods and fertility teas. We have held off on talking to a doctor so far because we believe that God will give us a baby when it is time. But now, I think I’m beginning to believe that God may be waiting for us to help ourselves a little more before He helps us.
The Stork at home fertility kit –
help for infertility issues
I’m beginning to research more about infertility issues and have found several friends who have had issues as well. I recently read an article about The Stork on Texas Type A Mom and I was intrigued. I was even more excited when I was contacted to learn more about The Stork on my own!
Did you know that approximately 7.3 million couples (1 in 6 couples) in the United States have infertility issues?
As I sit here today, I don’t know what my infertility issues are, but I know that I need to talk to my doctor. After listening to a webinar about the problems that could be going on, and how The Stork could possibly help, I know that I need to make that appointment now.
Benefits of The Stork:
- Proven technique: Physician technique now available for use in the privacy of home
- Safe: FDA Authorized prescription product. Non-reusable device
- Natural: Drug-free product that requires no drugs
- Non-invasive: Requires no injections or surgery
- Easy-to-Use: Condom-like in collection, tampon-like in delivery
- Cost-effective: Compared to “next-step” treatment options
Okay, let’s talk about this.
Basically, the man puts on a special condom with a collection cap on the tip. He might not care for this part, but just offer him some other extra treat later.
You have regular intercourse. Seriously, folks, who wants to be inseminated by a nurse, doctor, or turkey baster? Oh, and apparently some women have experienced their first internal orgasm because of the tip of the condom. Bonus!
The cap is snapped onto the applicator and inserted like a tampon. I do this every month when I don’t have a baby. Why not do it again to make a baby?
I guess the weirdest part is that it stays in for 4-6 hours, but honestly, I think it would be worth it. I would likely put it in before bed and just sleep through it. Although, I hear that most women can’t even tell it is there.
This seems so much more reasonable than going through the financial and emotional strain of the more invasive procedures. In, out, boom, you’re done. And the likelihood of having multiples is the same as you would normally have with traditional fertility.
(P.S. My son is convinced that someday I’m having twins. One boy. One girl. Twins run in my family so this is totally possible and at this point, very welcomed!)

Hi. My husband and I have been together for almost 6 years, and have been having unprotected sex since we started having sex. I am allergic to latex, and birth control, and he didn’t like the feel of condoms. Thats my back story. SO we have been TTC for about 6 months now, bsaically as soon as we got married. He was also married before and had unprotected sex, with no child. he was in a freak accident that makes it low to no sperm count. I came across this when i was using my ovulation app. I am interested to know if any one has tried this, and had success. I read the website, and I know it has only been available OTC for a short while now. I take the testimonies with a grain of salt becuase its the companies website. I would like to try this, before we start seeing a fertility specialist. I want to make sure that we tried everything we could before asking for help. Also, I like that this doesn’t require drugs. Any help or advice would be helpful. I want to be a Mommy desperately!!
It’s hilarious but my hubby wants to give this a try, mind you I have twins (IVF and they just turned 3), a baby girl who was born sleeping at 34w due to her having brain cancer and then an FET miracle boy who is almost 6mo old. We are trying again lol. I use an ovacue (the best O predictor I’ve ever used) and gotten pregnant three times with it, one the angel baby I was trying to use the ovacue to avoid pregnancy lol, and those listed pregnancies above were #7, 8 and 10 respectively. We will try this, then it’s back to the RE for IVF round 2! Good luck with ttc your next baby
I never knew this existed! It totally makes sense why it would help.
BTW, My friend Bec got pregnant via Turkey Baster 6 years ago. No joke.

I think you should talk to your doctor about your issues. If it’s something as easy as getting a prescription to try out The Stork, it’s totally worth it. And if it’s something that requires more invasive procedures to get pregnant, then at least you’ll know and you can decide where to go from there.
I think you’re right that The Stork is a much better option and so much less clinical than being in a doctor’s office for something that could just be done at home. I did the calendars too and timing and monitoring certain bodily fluids that might otherwise go unnoticed.
