Give Breakfast a Wake-Up Call with Champions for Kids and Jennie-O

#JennieO4Kids Twitter Party - 1/16/13 @ 1pm EST

Champions for Kids January SIMPLE Service Project

Give Breakfast a Wake-Up Call {Jennie-O}

In my household, morning is insane and we are all rushing around. Hubby wakes me (after he has showered and is almost dressed and ready to go) and I jump in the shower while he dresses our boy. I get dressed and get the boy's teeth brushed and everything we need to leave the house while Hubby (sometimes) gets our breakfasts ready to run out the door. Hubby is at work by 7am, the boy is at daycare next, and finally I make it to work before 8am. If anything is skipped in this process, it is breakfast. We are blessed that the boy's daycare/Pre-K provides a healthy breakfast, but our boy will start Kindergarten next year, so this needs to change…now!

Help us build a better future for kids!

Why is eating a nutritious breakfast so important for children? A nutritious breakfast helps growing bodies develop and thrive, and it can have a substantial long-term impact on children’s educational achievement. Children who do not eat a nutritious breakfast have a harder time focusing and staying awake in class, which can seriously affect their future educational and professional success. Starting their day with low-fat healthy protein like Jennie-O Turkey Bacon and Sausage is a great way to help kids grow and succeed inside and outside the classroom! – from Simple Service Project Card

  1. Looking forward to chatting with you all! :D @mommaof4girlies

  2. I’ve been saying this for a long time, too, but we always go for the quick Poptart/cereal during the morning rush. Of course, “mommy” never eats more than a pot of coffee! I’ve seen JennieO products before, but never tried them. Will like to hear more about what they offer. See you there! @firstclasskris

  3. I ha ve heard a lot about Twitter Parties. Maybe I’ll check this out

    I have never participated in a twitter party. I’m not quite sure how twitter parties work. =D
