Rainy Day activities – Terra Kids assembly kit from @haba_usa {Wordless Wednesday}
Terra Kids Assembly Kit Prehistoric Crab
The Boy and I were looking for something fun and "crafty" to do this weekend and I remembered that I had this Terra Kids assembly kit Prehistoric Crab from HABA. We had so much fun making it and it was so easy!! Check out our pics (video coming soon) and then learn a little about HABA – it's not a completely wordless Wednesday.
Now for the not so wordless part…
About Terra Kids Assembly Kit
How constructive! Build up the fun with the Terra Kids Prehistoric Crab Assembly Kit from HABA! This quick arts & crafts activity produces a cool sea creature with rattling, rolling eyes, cord, and motion module with wind-up motor! Just loosen the parts from the wooden board and fit them together following the easy to understand instructions.
This kit was extremely easy to put together and the instructions were very clear. The box says this is a kit for ages 6 and up, but my 4.5 year old helped me and did pretty well. The parts I had to assist with were applying the glue to the pieces and lacing the tail with string. He was easily able to pop the wooden pieces out and identify which ones we needed next based on the illustrated instructions. The green mechanism that makes the crab roll was already assembled with a string pulley system. Once the glue dried, he was able to test it out by pulling the string and watching it roll across the floor. We were both so excited when it rolled with no problem!!
This was such a fun rainy day afternoon activity for us and it would make a great stocking stuffer or birthday present for a young child who likes to build or is interested in dinosaurs or bugs. I'm thinking that we might even paint it eventually!!

I love these terra toys Not that I minded when dragging out the craft totes when my kids were small, and I loved what they came up with, but to have a pattern and design in mind because it’s already in a kit, that would have been so nice with 4 kids of different ages all fighting over glue and the glo-in-the-dark paints…lol..
