The Boy is three and a half and well, you know, he does NOT listen!!
Hubby and I are pulling our hair out sometimes at home and then arriving at daycare (or wherever we leave The Boy) to find out that he has been a perfect little angel all day.
Since we're such big readers at our house so what better way to teach The Boy than to read about it?!! So…when Howard B. offered one of his books to review, the obvious choice was…
Hubby's name is Howard and The Boy's name is Benjamin so we made a little game out of this book that Daddy and Goober are going to learn how to listen.
The Boy really paid attention and talks about it quite often!!
In the story, Howard B. Wigglebottom doesn't listen and eventually he gets a time-out at school. During his time-out, he thinks about all the trouble he was in throughout the day and – what do you think? – does he start to listen…?!!
The book is a hard back book with a dust cover and it's so beautifully illustrated, I haven't actually let The Boy take it into his play room with all the other books. It comes signed by Howard B with a message that says, "Have you ever gotten into trouble for not listening?"
Howard B. Wigglebottom books are for sale on the We Do Listen Foundation website. Their goal is to "enable children to feel good about themselves".
You can find free animated books, games and songs to help young children learn how to listen, feel good about themselves and deal with bullies and violence.
